ITV1 commissioned a second series

ITV1 has commissioned a second series of crime drama Law & Order, which will return with the same cast, including Bradley Walsh, Jamie Bamber and Freema Agyeman.

A new run of 13 episodes of the UK version of the US format will go into production later this year, with broadcast expected next year, after the ITV director of television, channels and online, Peter Fincham, and the director of drama, Laura Mackie, gave it the green light.

last week i posted about a stunning jamie picture taken by photographer Laurent Koffel

i contacted laurent to learn more about the picture and he could tell me the picture was taken for an article in french magazine "Séries TV" and that it was okay to post the picture on bamber_news.

whether the article was already published and when the picture was taken i asked him in my follow up email. i will update as soon as i know more, so you might want to track this entry.

Though the first series of 'Law & Order: UK' was so successful, is currently uncertain, whether the show will be recommissioned due to financial cuts at ITV. There is no confirmation that it will be returning next year.

Dick Wolf, the writer and producer of Law and Order, has written a petition to ITV on Apr 26, 2009: " We need a 2nd series of Law & Order: UK". You can sign this petition, if you would like to see a further series of Law & Order UK.
